Beeswax has lubricating, softening activities and reduces trans-epidermal water loss from skin. This means it helps protect lips from becoming dry or chapped. Beeswax is also an occlusive, meaning it forms a moisturizing, protective layer on the surface of the lips.

Due to being made with natural beeswax it will go harder if it is cold. Just warm it between your hands for 10 to 15 seconds and it will soften up.
